Jazan is a port city in the far southwest corner of the Kingdom, bordering Yemen and sitting on the Red Sea. It is the agricultural breadbasket of Saudi Arabia, known for producing tropical fruits like mangoes, papayas, and coffee beans due to its fertile soil and humid climate. Jazan serves as the transit point for the Farasan Islands, a protected marine sanctuary with pristine beaches and coral reefs. The region is culturally distinct, with colorful traditional clothing and flower crowns worn by local men. It is currently undergoing rapid industrialization with the Jazan Economic City project.
