Al Baha is a high-altitude city located in the Hejaz region, perched in the Sarawat Mountains. Known as the “Garden of the Hejaz,” it is famous for its dense forests, agricultural terraces, and ancient stone watchtowers (qasaba). Like Abha, it enjoys a pleasant climate that attracts tourists. The city acts as a gateway to the famous marble village of Thee Ain, which sits on a white mountain outcrop. Al Baha is a major producer of honey and fruits, including pomegranates and grapes, and offers a landscape of deep valleys and steep escarpments often covered in fog.
