Charlotte is a major U.S. financial hub, second only to New York City in banking assets, serving as the headquarters for Bank of America. Known as the “Queen City,” it represents the “New South”—a place where traditional Southern hospitality meets rapid corporate growth and modernization. It is a sprawling city with a defined Uptown (which is actually the downtown area) full of skyscrapers and museums.
