Orlando is the “Theme Park Capital of the World.” Located in central Florida, it is the home of Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, and SeaWorld. As a result, it is one of the most visited cities globally, catering almost entirely to tourism and conventions. The city spans a massive area, characterized by manicured landscaping, massive hotels, and outlet shopping malls. While the theme parks dominate its identity, Orlando also has a growing downtown area and technology sector, particularly in simulation and aviation, and serves as a hub for the University of Central Florida.
